The suspended Game 17 of the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2025, originally halted on Day 3 (September 7), resumed and concluded with Korea securing a dominant 17-0 win over South Africa. The game was played at Okinawa Cellular Stadium in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.
When play was suspended in the bottom of the third inning, Korea held a commanding 13-0 lead. Upon resumption, Korea added four more runs in the top of the fourth, ultimately ending the game via the run-difference rule after five innings.
The game resumed with left-hander Jansun Park on the mound for Korea, facing South Africa’s Imaad Hassiem, who grounded out to shortstop to close the bottom of the third inning. In the following frame, Korea capitalized on two hits and two walks, all off Hassiem, to widen the gap.
With this result, Group A action is officially complete. However, the outcome of this game has no bearing on the standings heading into the next phase of the tournament.

-
Korea (No. 4)
-
