Even from the sidelines, Luka Doncic made it clear he was impressed by Austin Reaves. After Reaves poured in 51 points to lead the Lakers past the Sacramento Kings 127–120 on Sunday, Doncic took to Instagram Stories, tagging his teammate and simply writing: “Goat.”

With Doncic sidelined by a left finger sprain and lower left leg contusion, and LeBron James out rehabbing sciatica, the Lakers were in a tough spot heading into the matchup.

Reaves rose to the occasion, delivering a near triple-double with 12-of-22 shooting, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals, carrying Los Angeles to a crucial victory. Deandre Ayton added 22 points, while Rui Hachimura chipped in 18.

For Sacramento, Zach LaVine led the way with 31 points, followed by DeMar DeRozan with 21, and Dennis Schroder and Russell Westbrook contributing 18 points each.
