Basketball star and Philadelphia 76ers leader Joel Embiid has chosen to extend his contract with the team, securing one of the highest salaries in the league.
According to insider Shams Charania, Embiid will sign a three-year deal worth up to $193 million. This will bring his total contract value to five years and $301 million, making it one of the three largest deals in NBA history.
Reminder: Last season, Embiid missed over half of the games due to injuries, participating in just 40 games while averaging 34.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 5.6 assists.
