LeBron James, star of the Los Angeles Lakers, stated that Giannis Antetokounmpo, the leader of the Milwaukee Bucks, would have easily shattered the single-game scoring record if he had played in the 1970s.
LeBron believes Giannis could have scored 250 points in a single game during that era.
“Are you trying to tell me Giannis couldn’t play in the NBA in the ’70s? Giannis would score 250 points in a game in the ’70s. He would break all the records,” James declared on The Pat McAfee Show.
It’s worth noting that the current NBA single-game scoring record is held by Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 points in a game against the Knicks in 1962.
As a reminder, Giannis has played 59 games this season, averaging 30.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.
