Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade secured a win over KK Borac in the ABA League, but the victory was overshadowed by injuries to key players.
Aleksej Pokusevski was forced to leave the game early after taking a hit to the head, while Jabari Parker suffered a finger injury, leaving his availability uncertain. Head coach Zeljko Obradovic stressed that the team will not rush either player back.
“Pokusevski took a hit to the head and couldn’t continue. Jabari injured a finger, and it doesn’t look good. We’ll see,” Obradovic told Mozzart Sport. “Milton is in the recovery process, doing some work, but it’s all going slowly. We don’t want to take risks. Once he’s fully healthy, he’ll return to basketball training and start running.”
Despite the setbacks, Partizan controlled the game, earning their fourth consecutive victory in the ABA League.
Obradovic also mentioned new signing Bruno Fernando, but did not provide further details. “We’ll talk about him when he gets to practice. In the end, we managed to bring in a big man. Once he’s with us, we’ll discuss him,” he said.
