Ahead of their crucial game against Milwaukee, Denver announced that Nikola Jokic might miss the matchup due to a left ankle injury. The Serbian star has already missed five games, and although his status has been upgraded from “out” to “questionable,” it’s likely he’ll continue his recovery and sit out at least one more game.
Denver’s head coach Michael Malone mentioned that Jokic was expected to return during the home series, but it seems he will probably miss the game against Milwaukee. The team will then face Utah, Minnesota, and San Antonio, and there’s hope that Jokic will be ready for those matchups.
Milwaukee is also facing injury concerns. Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable with a left foot sprain, while Damian Lillard is out indefinitely due to a vein issue. Bobby Portis and Jericho Sims will also be unavailable.
Currently, Denver sits third in the Western Conference with a 45-28 record, while Milwaukee is in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a 40-31 standing.
