Victor Wembanyama is reportedly looking sharp in his first full-court sessions since being sidelined with a blood clot issue earlier this year. According to veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein, the San Antonio Spurs’ rising star looked “quite stellar” during his recent workouts, marking an encouraging step in his recovery.
Wembanyama had been out of action since February due to the health concern, which also forced him to miss EuroBasket 2025 with the French national team. The setback came on the heels of his standout performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he helped France secure a silver medal.
Last week, the 20-year-old took part in his first full-court reps with the Spurs in six months — and according to reports, left a strong impression on the team’s staff.
Before his season was cut short, Wembanyama had already established himself as one of the NBA’s most dominant young talents. In his rookie campaign, he averaged 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, and a league-leading 3.8 blocks per game, earning his first All-Star selection.
With his health trending in the right direction, the Spurs will be eager to see Wembanyama back at full strength as they prepare for the upcoming season.
