IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois has announced his return to the ring after recovering from an illness. The British boxer is eager to face any opponent that comes his way.
“I wanted to fight Parker in Riyadh, but my team, doctors, and my father didn’t allow me to step into the ring. It’s frustrating, but life throws challenges at you,” Dubois said in a post on Instagram.
“I’m coming back. I’m ready. I’ll have some exciting news for the fans soon. Usyk, Parker, Joshua—whoever. I’m ready,” he added.
Reminder: Dubois pulled out of his fight with Joseph Parker just two days before the bout due to a viral infection, with Congolese fighter Martin Bakole stepping in as his replacement. Parker went on to knock out Bakole in the second round.
It was previously reported that a potential rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Dubois for the undisputed heavyweight championship could take place at Wembley Stadium in London.
