Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Anthony Joshua is open to a fight with Joseph Parker, but he is mainly focused on two potential opponents – Tyson Fury, who has retired, and Daniel Dubois, who previously defeated AJ by knockout.
Hearn explained: “Parker? A fight is a fight, and we’re considering all options. But if you ask AJ right now, the only two fights that truly excite him are Dubois and Fury – those are the ones he’s most interested in.”
He continued, “AJ has already beaten Parker, but Parker is on a strong run. I think Parker should take on Dubois, as they had a contract in place. However, if Dubois and Fury aren’t available, we’ll have to look at other options. So, if Frank Warren wants to make an offer, we’re open to listening,” Hearn told talkSPORT.
As a reminder, Top Rank promoter Ben Jacobs previously suggested that only a fight with Joshua could potentially convince Fury to reconsider his decision to retire from boxing.
