Undefeated former middleweight champion Jermall Charlo is set to make his return to the ring soon.
According to BoxingScene, Charlo is expected to fight in a super middleweight bout on May 31 at a Premier Boxing Champions event in Las Vegas, with details of his opponent and the full fight card yet to be finalized. However, BoxingScene also reported earlier this week that Charlo’s potential opponent, former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant, is expected to headline the card in a separate bout.
As a reminder, the 34-year-old Charlo hasn’t fought since his unanimous decision victory over Jose Benavidez Jr. on November 25, 2023, in Las Vegas. He was stripped of his WBC middleweight title in May after being arrested in Pearland, Texas, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene of an accident.
It was also previously reported that Oleksandr Usyk may face Jake Paul in the future.
