Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk have officially confirmed their rematch for the undisputed heavyweight world championship. The highly anticipated fight will take place at Wembley Stadium in London on July 19.
Dubois, who’s looking to avenge his loss from two years ago, has since climbed back to the top of the heavyweight ranks. Last summer, he became the full world champion after moving past his interim titleholder status. He then made a statement by knocking out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round.
In February, Dubois was set to face Joseph Parker but pulled out just two days before the fight. Rather than rescheduling that bout, he has turned his full attention to the rematch with Usyk, where all four belts will be on the line.
“I’m grateful to God for the chance to fight for the undisputed title again. Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt — now I’m coming to reclaim it,” Usyk said.
Dubois, meanwhile, expressed unwavering confidence in his skills and a burning desire for redemption.
“This is the fight I’ve been chasing. Now I have the chance to get my revenge on Usyk. I should’ve won the first time, but the referee’s decision took it away from me. This time, in front of my supporters at Wembley, I won’t make any mistakes.”
