Former four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr. shared his insights on the upcoming rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. According to Jones Jr., he believes Usyk is likely to secure a victory in their second fight.
He stated, “A Fury victory? I don’t think so. It could have happened, but in that fight, Usyk realized he could hurt Tyson. He knew it going into the ring, but now he understands he can definitely hurt Fury. The smaller man now knows he can damage the bigger one.”
Jones added that while Fury is known for his intelligence and ability to adapt, he still favors Usyk. “Usyk is the favorite in the rematch. In my humble opinion, Usyk will beat him again. Now that Usyk knows he can hurt and defeat Fury, he might even underestimate him in the rematch. But we all know that Fury has been knocked down seven times,” he said in an interview with SecondsOut.
The rematch for the four heavyweight titles is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia, and the undercard for the Riyadh fight night has recently been announced.
