British heavyweight Dillian Whyte is set to return to the ring in two months, as confirmed by his manager, Michael Ofao.
Ofao stated: “Dillian just needs a few more weeks of recovery before he can start training again. Right now, even something as simple as putting on a glove is impossible, so he’s patiently waiting for the time when he can begin hitting again.
In about two months, Dillian will be back in peak fighting form. He’s already looking leaner and fitter, and he’s eager to get back into the ring after his win over Tetteh. The delay won’t last long—he’ll be ready and back in action soon,” Ofao told BoxingScene.
As a reminder, Whyte had to pull out of his scheduled bout with Joe Joyce on April 5 in Manchester due to a hand injury. Croatian fighter Filip Hrgović will step in as Joyce’s opponent.
