British boxer Tyson Fury has been vocal about his upcoming rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, sharing insights into his mindset for the fight.
In an interview with TNT Sports Boxing, the “Gypsy King” revealed that while he was cautious in their first encounter, his strategy for the rematch will be markedly different.
“I’m going into this fight in destruction mode,” Fury stated. “Last time, I approached it to box him, being cautious, and I still knocked his head off. Let’s talk facts: anyone can get caught, as we’ve seen in many heavyweight fights. But this time, I won’t leave it to the judges. I’m going to knock this fool out.”
It’s worth noting that Fury lost by split decision to Usyk in their previous match, relinquishing his WBC title. He is now gearing up for the rematch and has indicated his willingness to set up a trilogy if he emerges victorious.
The highly anticipated fight for four titles is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia, and the buildup has already commenced, with both Usyk and Fury exchanging compliments leading up to the significant bout.
