Luke Littler, who became world champion at just 17, officially turned 18 early last week. Unlike many Brits marking the milestone, “The Nuke” didn’t celebrate with a trip to his local PopWorld.
Instead, showing impressive maturity, Littler opted for a low-key celebration, keeping his focus on the upcoming darts tournaments. “Yeah, it was good. Went bowling with a few of my friends. Didn’t play the best, but it was just good to get out and celebrate,” Littler shared with Online Darts.
Before heading out to bowl, Luke Littler also enjoyed a nice meal. This time, rather than the kebab takeaway he became famous for during the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship, he had a traditional “chippy tea.” “Yeah, it was weird obviously,” Littler said, laughing at his dad’s choice of meal. “Surely they know I’m going out, but before that, I was on TikTok playing my FIFA in front of like 4,000 people. So, obviously, they thought I was staying in for the night, but unlucky for them, I went out.”
Littler was in action last weekend at the Dutch Darts Masters, the second tournament of the 2025 World Series of Darts. In his first tournament as an 18-year-old, he fought hard but was defeated 7-6 in the semifinals by Stephen Bunting, despite posting an impressive average of over 107.
This week, he has another opportunity to claim a trophy as he competes in the Winmau World Masters, the first PDC major of the new season. With the darts continuing to come thick and fast early in the season, Littler will soon begin his Premier League Darts title defense, just a week later.
