The opening group of the week at the MODUS Super Series is heating up, with Graham Hall maintaining his lead and holding a strong position ahead of Simon Whitlock and Andy Hamilton.

After an impressive Day One, Tommy Morris initially shared the momentum with Hall in Group A, but by Day Two, the experienced former World finalists, Whitlock and Hamilton, started to find their rhythm. Whitlock sits just behind Hall with 12 points, having won six of his ten matches and lost four. Hamilton also has 12 points, with the same record of six wins and four losses.

Morris, who had a strong start, follows closely with 10 points. Steve Robertson and Andreas Nikolaou are trailing behind with only six points, making it unlikely they will challenge for a top-four finish. With one day left in Group A on Wednesday, the top four players—Hall, Whitlock, Hamilton, and Morris—appear to be the main contenders for qualification.

The MODUS Super Series is a weekly event where 12 players compete from Monday to Friday for a spot in the final group, which takes place on Saturday night. The player who finishes first after three sessions qualifies directly for the final night. The remaining players are placed into two groups based on their rankings, and five players will eventually qualify for the finals. Group B features three players, and Group C has two, in addition to the winner of Group A.

On Finals Night, players compete in a small group stage before moving on to the semifinals and a final, with the weekly winner being crowned. The tournament resets every week with 12 new players aiming for the title. After 12 weeks of competition, all the weekly winners will return for “Champions Week,” which will take place every 13th week, to determine the overall series champion, with the top prize being £25,000.

Whitlock and Hamilton, along with Hall, will be battling for the top spot in Group A alongside Steve Robertson, Tommy Morris, and Andreas Nikolaou. The victor from this group will advance to Finals Night, while the remaining players will join the two other groups. Group B will feature Jamie Hughes, ‘Wolfie’ Martin Adams, and Ashley Coleman, while Group C consists of Jenson Walker, James Hubbard, and Adam Mould.

Finals Night will kick off at 10pm on Saturday, where the players will compete in a small group stage, followed by the semifinals and the final to determine the weekly winner.
