The Hungarian Darts Trophy returns to Budapest from September 19–21, 2025, marking the 12th of 14 events on this year’s PDC European Tour. Hosted at the MVM Dome, the tournament will feature a 48-player field competing for a £175,000 prize pool, with £30,000 awarded to the winner.
Reigning champion Michael van Gerwen will be back to defend his title, having edged out Gian van Veen 8–7 in a thrilling 2024 final. The Dutchman headlines a strong lineup that also includes Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Stephen Bunting, and Gerwyn Price.
The Hungarian Darts Trophy has become a staple on the European Tour calendar, traditionally taking place near the business end of the season. Past champions include Dave Chisnall and Joe Cullen, both of whom could be in the mix again this year.
As with all European Tour events, the final lineup is subject to change, with last-minute withdrawals not uncommon — particularly among the top names. However, fans can expect a high-caliber weekend of darts in the Hungarian capital as the race for European Tour honors heats up.
