The line-up for Players Championship events 24 and 25, scheduled for August 25-26 in Milton Keynes, has been confirmed. Notably, Luke Littler, Gerwyn Price, and Michael van Gerwen are set to make their return to the ProTour.

Littler has largely skipped Players Championship events this season to balance his schedule alongside TV tournaments and the Premier League. However, he returns next week both on the ProTour and the European Tour, with the Flanders Darts Trophy following shortly after.

The two-day event will feature 128 players, including PDC Tour Card holders and PDPA Associate Members, starting at 13:00 BST each day. These events also include a qualifier for the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam on August 27, with six spots up for grabs.

Other notable entrants include Nathan Aspinall, who has also been absent from the ProTour for some time, as well as Gerwyn Price, one of the few top players to consistently compete this season. Michael van Gerwen, after a mixed year of sporadic play and early exits, is expected to adopt a fuller schedule with entries in both Milton Keynes and Antwerp events.

A handful of Tour Card holders, including Chris Dobey, Luke Humphries, Josh Rock, Haupai Puha, Maximillian Czerwinski, Jules van Dongen, and Tim Wolters, will sit out the Milton Keynes events.

The field also features players like Darius Labanauskas, Stefan Bellmont, Ted Evetts, Jamai van den Herik, Mervyn King, Jack Tweddell, Beau Greaves, and Alexander Merkx. Greaves, who has mostly focused on the Women’s Series this year, will stay on for the ProTour double-header following the weekend’s Women’s Series event at the same venue.

Pending any late withdrawals, the event promises a strong roster of ProTour talent. After a brief hiatus due to the World Series, the busy Autumn darts season kicks off in Milton Keynes and Antwerp.

This year’s ProTour has seen a wide variety of winners, with Gerwyn Price standing out as the only player with three titles. Recent first-time winners include Sebastian Bialecki and Jermaine Wattimena, while previous champions from Leicester include Bradley Brooks, Damon Heta, James Wade, Stephen Bunting, and Chris Dobey. Other victors this season are Cameron Menzies, Martin Schindler, Josh Rock, and Gary Anderson.

Players Championships 24-25 are part of a series of events concluding with three more blocks in September and October across Hildesheim, Leicester, and Wigan. The season will culminate in the Players Championship Finals held at Butlins, Minehead, during the penultimate weekend of November, serving as the final major before the World Championship.
