The World Darts Federation (WDF) has officially unveiled the full schedule, prize fund, and format changes for the 2025 WDF World Darts Championship, returning this winter to the iconic Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green. Running from Friday 28 November to Sunday 7 December, this year’s event features a record-breaking prize pool, revised match formats, and live broadcast coverage via Welsh channel S4C.
With four world titles on the line — Men’s Open, Women’s, Boys’, and Girls’ Championships — the tournament once again celebrates darts across every age group and level.
WDF World Darts Championship 2025 Prize Money (Largest in Non-PDC Darts)
The total prize pot of £221,000 remains the biggest in darts outside of the PDC, matching last year’s record total.

Based on consultation with players and fans, the WDF has made several key format changes for 2025:

Men’s Open first round: expanded from best-of-3 to best-of-5 sets

Women’s Quarter-Finals: now best-of-5 sets

Boys’ Final: extended to best-of-7 sets

Girls’ Final: now best-of-5 sets
In addition, the tournament schedule has been streamlined to enhance viewer experience:

Afternoon sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday have been removed

Evening sessions will now begin slightly earlier, creating a smoother, more watchable flow for both in-person and online audiences
