US Equestrian is excited to unveil a new prize structure for the US Equestrian Interscholastic Athlete Program, offering expanded recognition for student athletes in grades 5 through 12 who are active in any equestrian discipline.
Originally launched as the US Equestrian Varsity Lettering Program, this initiative provides a meaningful way for students to log their dedication to the sport, while also enhancing their résumés and college applications.
Program Eligibility and Requirements
The program is open to US Equestrian competing members or subscribers, and participation in USEF-licensed competitions is not required. Students can earn annual recognition through one of the following options:
-
Logging a minimum of 100 hours per year in riding, driving, or training activities
-
Competing in at least three equestrian events (USEF-licensed or otherwise) per program year
New Tiered Prize System
For the 2025 program year, participants will now receive a unique prize for each year they take part—up to eight years of recognition:
-
Year 1: Patch and pin
-
Year 2: Magnet
-
Year 3: Keychain
-
Year 4: Lanyard and luggage tag
-
Year 5: Notebook
-
Year 6: Water bottle
-
Year 7: Hat
-
Year 8: Tote bag
This new incentive structure is designed to reward continued involvement and celebrate students’ long-term commitment to equestrian sport.
A Valuable Addition to Academic and Career Portfolios
Participation in the US Equestrian Interscholastic Athlete Program not only highlights a student’s passion and discipline but also serves as a strong supplement to college applications and professional resumes.
