Morocco have already secured their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup following an impressive unbeaten run in the qualifiers.
Several other African powerhouses are also closing in on qualification. Egypt, Tunisia, South Africa, and Ivory Coast are all within touching distance of booking their spots at the tournament.
The Pharaohs, currently guaranteed at least second place in their group, could take a major step forward if they defeat second-placed Burkina Faso on Tuesday, which would put them eight points clear.
In Group F, Ivory Coast lead Gabon by just one point heading into their crucial clash on Tuesday. A win for the Elephants would put them firmly on course for qualification.
Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles are also well positioned. Sitting seven points ahead of Namibia, they will qualify if they beat Equatorial Guinea away on Monday. Even a draw might be enough—provided Namibia fail to win against São Tomé and Príncipe at home.
Meanwhile, South Africa top Group C and could all but seal their place with a win over Nigeria in Bloemfontein. However, they remain under a potential threat of a points deduction from FIFA, which could impact their campaign.
