Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface is undergoing a comprehensive series of medical tests as part of his proposed transfer to Serie A side AC Milan, SPORTS MACRO reports.
Milan has reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to bring in the powerful forward on loan for €5 million, with a €25 million option to make the move permanent.
Boniface arrived in Italy on Friday and has since visited Milan’s training facilities, the Galeazzi Hospital, and the headquarters of the Italian Olympic Committee for initial evaluations.
According to Football Italia, the 24-year-old is scheduled to undergo further medical assessments on Saturday.
The extensive checks come in light of Boniface’s injury history. He underwent surgeries for ligament damage in both March 2019 and December 2020 and also struggled with muscular issues twice during the last season.
