Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to become a free agent this summer as Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah prepares to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the decision comes as the club looks to sign a younger striker ahead of the new season.
Romano confirmed the news in a post on X:
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, set to be available as free agent this summer.
Understand Al Qadsiah and Auba are prepared to part ways on mutual consent as the Saudi Pro League side want to bring in a younger striker.
Aubameyang, opportunity available with many clubs on alert.”
The 36-year-old forward, who has previously played for top European clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund, could now be set for a return to Europe as interest in his availability grows.
