Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer has harshly criticized Alexander Isak’s agent, urging the Swedish striker to sack him immediately following the ongoing transfer controversy involving Liverpool.

Isak, who is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield during the 2025 summer transfer window, is said to be pushing for an exit from Newcastle United, alongside his agent. Tensions escalated after the Magpies rejected a £110 million bid from Liverpool, which has reportedly led to a breakdown in trust between the player and the club.

In response to the rejected transfer, Isak publicly accused Newcastle of “breaking promises” and betraying his trust, causing a stir within the fanbase and media alike. However, Newcastle responded swiftly, issuing an official club statement dismissing Isak’s accusations.

Reacting to the dramatic developments, Premier League all-time top scorer Alan Shearer slammed the handling of the situation, placing the blame squarely on Isak’s representation.

Speaking to Betfair, Shearer said:

“Oh my God, what a f***ing mess his agent has made of this, honestly.
If I was him, I would get his agent in a room and sack him on the spot immediately. He’s supposed to be giving him proper advice—especially after signing a six-year deal with no get-out clause. It’s ridiculous.”

The fallout has sparked major speculation surrounding Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle, with fans and pundits questioning whether the situation can be repaired or if a big-money move to Liverpool is now inevitable.

As the Premier League transfer window continues, all eyes remain on St. James’ Park, where the standoff between Newcastle, Isak, and Liverpool could define one of the summer’s biggest transfer stories.
