Aaron Ramsdale was visibly emotional after receiving a warm welcome from Arsenal fans during his first return to the Emirates since leaving the club.
The goalkeeper transferred to Southampton for £25 million this summer, concluding a three-year spell in North London. Ramsdale made 89 appearances for the Gunners but decided to leave in search of more playing time after losing his starting position to David Raya in Mikel Arteta’s goalkeeping lineup.
