Barcelona has had to rely on several young talents from La Masia due to a spate of injuries. Among them was 16-year-old forward Toni Fernández, who was called up for the recent match against Villarreal (5-1) but remained on the bench. However, he attracted attention for an unfortunate mishap.

Before the match kicked off, Fernández accidentally stepped on the seat designated for head coach Hansi Flick while settling onto the bench. When Flick returned to his seat, he quickly spotted the boot mark and inquired if it was Fernández’s doing, leaving the young player visibly embarrassed.

Reminder: During the match against Villarreal, Barcelona also lost their starting goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, who will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a serious injury.
