La Liga recently informed Barcelona about potential issues with financial fair play regulations, putting the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor at risk. However, the National Sports Council (CSD) has now made its decision.
In an official statement, the CSD announced that it supports Barcelona, meaning the registration of the two players will remain valid through the end of the season.
In addition, La Liga has filed a complaint with the Institute of Accounting and Auditing against the auditor appointed by the club on December 31, 2024, who approved the deal.
Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, has criticized La Liga, claiming the league is attempting to undermine the club’s interests. He expressed surprise that the league initially approved the players’ registration only to later change its position. Laporta promised to take action in response to these developments.
On another note, the Spanish Cup final will feature an El Clásico, with Barcelona facing Real Madrid in the decisive match. The two clubs have met seven times in the final, with Madrid winning four times and Barcelona coming out on top three times.
