Gian Piero Gasperini is the most successful coach in Atalanta’s history, yet the question of his future with the club remains uncertain.
Atalanta President Antonio Percassi recently commented that Gasperini has not made a final decision about leaving and expressed hope that he will continue with the team.
“I hope Gasperini will stay with us. He is a great coach,” Percassi said.
Under Gasperini’s leadership, Atalanta made history by winning the Europa League for the first time and qualifying for the Champions League four times. This season, the club sits in third place in Serie A after 30 rounds.
The 67-year-old coach’s contract with Atalanta runs through the summer of 2026.
It’s worth noting that earlier reports indicated Gasperini had decided to leave the club.
