The long-awaited return of Barcelona to their iconic Camp Nou stadium is still a work in progress, but fans now have a clearer timeline for when the saga will come to an end.
According to The Athletic, Barcelona has informed its members that the team will not be returning to Camp Nou before next season. Although there were concerns that their current arrangement to play at the Olympic Stadium might be cut short, an agreement has been reached with the stadium owners to allow Barcelona to finish the season at the Olympic Stadium.
While Camp Nou is not expected to be fully ready until the summer of 2026, Barcelona plans to return to their historic home next season. However, the team may need to play in front of a reduced capacity until the final stages of the stadium’s renovations are completed.
As a reminder, earlier, Raphinha revealed that he came close to leaving Barcelona, adding another layer of intrigue to the club’s ongoing transition.
