Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has received a suspension and a fine following his red card in the club’s most recent Premier League match.
According to an official statement from the Football Association (FA), Maresca will miss the upcoming game against Nottingham Forest and has been fined £8,000 for using inappropriate language toward referee Anthony Taylor during the match.
The Italian coach has chosen not to appeal the decision, accepting both the fine and the one-match ban.
Referee Anthony Taylor later commented on the incident, stating that while he was not pleased to issue the red card, it was a necessary and correct decision under the circumstances.
