Two days ago, the legendary Jose Mourinho became involved in a high-profile scandal that could have serious repercussions for him.
According to Foot Mercato, Mourinho may face a suspension until the end of the season after allegedly pulling the nose of Galatasaray’s head coach, Okan Buruk, following a defeat in the Turkish Cup.
If the disciplinary committee deems Mourinho’s actions to be unsporting behavior, he could be handed a three-match suspension. However, if the violation is classified as aggression, the suspension could range from 5 to 10 matches.
Fenerbahçe, Mourinho’s team, has nine games remaining in the Turkish Super League. They currently trail league leaders Galatasaray by 5 points, although they have one game in hand.
As a side note, yesterday, Galatasaray released a South Park-style cartoon featuring Mourinho as the main character, further adding to the drama surrounding the incident.
