Chelsea continues its focus on acquiring young talent, securing the signings of two players from Sporting.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Geovani Quenda (born in 2006) and Dario Essugo (born in 2005) will both be joining Chelsea. The total transfer fee for both players is reported to be 74 million euros. Quenda will make the move to Chelsea in 2026, while Essugo is set to join in the summer of 2025.
Sporting confirmed that Chelsea will pay 50.77 million euros for Quenda, with an additional 1.36 million euros in bonuses. As for Essugo, the Lisbon club will receive 22.27 million euros. Additionally, 17-year-old Estevao Willian, a Chelsea-owned player, has been impressing with his performances at Palmeiras. It has now been revealed which club the Brazilian prodigy will represent at the Club World Cup.
