Chelsea have officially submitted a written offer to Barcelona for midfielder Fermín López, aiming to secure the Spaniard’s transfer before the summer window closes.
The Blues put forward an initial proposal worth €40 million shortly after their 2-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday and are now awaiting a response from Barça.
Meanwhile, Barcelona assistant coach Jordi Roura has publicly urged López to remain with the club and resist the move to Stamford Bridge.
López has been a key player under Hansi Flick, featuring in 47 matches this season and contributing eight goals and 10 assists.
