Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored in the recent Serie A match against Monza, but his manager, Antonio Conte, substituted him in the 75th minute, leading to an angry reaction from the Georgian winger. Despite this, Conte has urged for calm.
Conte observed that there was no malice in Kvaratskhelia’s response and appreciated the player’s concern for his performance. He noted, “He did what he had to do; he scored a goal and played well. Perhaps he was a bit nervous due to the yellow card he received and some of the referee’s decisions. I’m pleased because it shows he is very engaged in the game.”
It’s worth mentioning that Kvaratskhelia was linked with a move away from Napoli during the summer transfer window, but club president Aurelio De Laurentiis chose to keep him.
