Côte d’Ivoire has been confirmed as the new host for the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship, taking over from Nigeria, according to a report by SPORTS MACRO.
The tournament was initially scheduled to take place in Nigeria next month, with matches planned at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta and the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
However, the West African Football Union (WAFU) has opted to relocate the event due to ongoing renovation work at the Remo Stars Stadium, which began earlier this week.
The regional youth competition is now set to run in Côte d’Ivoire from September 11 to 25, 2025.
