Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at critics questioning Joao Felix’s recent move to the Saudi Pro League.
Felix completed a transfer to Al Nassr in a deal worth £26 million, potentially rising to £43 million, after leaving Chelsea this summer. The move sparked debate, with many wondering why the 25-year-old forward opted to leave European football at this stage of his career.
Since joining the Saudi side, Felix has made an impressive start, scoring a hat-trick on his debut and providing an assist in his first five appearances.
However, this week, the Portuguese podcast Chuveirinho criticized Felix’s decision to move to Saudi Arabia. In response, Ronaldo fired back on Instagram, commenting on a clip from the show:
“Idiots don’t understand anything about football, yet they still give their opinions.”
