Davide Ancelotti, former assistant coach at Real Madrid, has been named the new head coach of Brazilian club Botafogo, marking the beginning of his managerial career.
Ancelotti, who served as his father Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at Real Madrid, takes the helm at Botafogo following the duo’s departure from the Spanish giants at the end of the 2024–2025 season. Carlo has since assumed his new role as head coach of the Brazil national team.
The appointment was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, with Brazilian outlet GeGlobo reporting that this is Davide’s first head coaching position. The younger Ancelotti had previously been linked with a move to Scottish side Rangers before finalizing his deal with Botafogo.
Napoli Reject €60M Galatasaray Bid for Osimhen
In transfer news, Napoli have turned down a €60 million offer from Turkish giants Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have already reached personal terms with Osimhen and are expected to return with an improved bid in hopes of securing the forward’s signature.
