Dele Alli Aims for Premier League Return After Everton and Tottenham Stints
In recent updates, Dele Alli is focused on making a comeback to the Premier League following his time with Tottenham Hotspurand Everton.
Details reveal that Alli spent the last three seasons with Everton, joining in January 2022. During this period, he appeared in 13 Premier League matches but started only once. A serious injury while on loan at Beşiktaş in 2023 sidelined him for the past season, and he has been rehabilitating with Everton, continuing to train despite parting ways with the club this summer.
The 28-year-old has been training with Everton’s first team since summer, aiming to secure a new contract by demonstrating his fitness.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Everton’s sporting director Kevin Thelwell provided insight into the situation, confirming that Everton and Tottenham have reached an agreement on potential next steps if Alli signs a new contract. Thelwell expressed optimism about Alli’s future in the Premier League, emphasizing that the club would welcome his return after his challenging times.
Notably, despite his recent struggles, Alli expressed confidence in his ability to return to top form, stating on Monday Night Football that he is ready to get back on the pitch following his
recovery.
