Manchester City may not be caught off guard by the potential departure of Pep Guardiola, as rumors have already surfaced in the media. Within the club, there’s confidence that City’s leadership will be prepared for the situation and will identify a suitable replacement for the Spanish coach.
City goalkeeper Ederson has reassured fans that the club is in capable hands and that the management already has potential successors in mind if Guardiola decides to leave.
“City is a very well-structured, well-managed club with excellent executives, including our CEO (Ferran Soriano). I’m confident they already have a plan for the next coach, should Pep decide to go. They’ll aim to keep things on track. Of course, it would be a huge loss — we’re talking about the best coach in the world, but I think we’re ready for a post-Pep era,” Ederson told TNT Sports Brazil.
Earlier reports suggested Guardiola might stay at City if the club is found guilty of the 115 financial fair play violations currently under investigation.
