Arsenal defender Ben White has praised his teammate William Saliba, describing him as “absolutely incredible.” Saliba’s impact has been a key factor in Arsenal’s consistent defensive performance over the past two seasons.
Signed by Unai Emery in 2019 for around £27 million, Saliba initially struggled to break into the first team and spent time on loan. However, since making his debut in 2022 under Mikel Arteta, he has emerged as one of the Premier League‘s top defenders.
“Saliba is absolutely incredible. I can’t point out a single weakness or anything he really needs to work on. While everyone has areas to improve, his current form is remarkable given his age,” White shared with Metro.
He continued, “In training, you catch glimpses of his talent, but during matches, it’s a whole different level. He can glide through training sessions; nobody gets past him. It’s almost as if opponents don’t even attempt to try because they know it’s futile.”
