Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has decided to terminate Ryan Kent’s contract just six days before their Europa League clash with Manchester United.
Kent had fallen out of favor with Mourinho after a potential move to Lazio fell through last January. He joined Fenerbahce in 2023 on a four-year deal but has seen limited action, making only one appearance this season and being left out of all league match squads.
The 27-year-old, who joined Liverpool’s academy at the age of seven, made just one senior appearance for the club before embarking on five loan spells. He eventually signed permanently with Rangers in 2019 for £6.5 million.
