Although the World Cup final draw is still eight months away, FIFA has already begun planning the event, with some details already in place, though they may change.
According to The Athletic, Las Vegas remains the primary option for the draw, a location with historical significance as it hosted the 1994 World Cup final draw. Several host city officials favor Las Vegas, hoping to attract potential commercial partners to the city before and after the event.
However, FIFA has also considered Washington, D.C., as a potential venue to make it easier for U.S. President Donald Trump to attend. There were even discussions about holding the draw in a smaller format at the White House or other venues within the District of Columbia.
Nevertheless, if the event takes place in Las Vegas, Trump could still attend or address the participants via a video message, as he did during the Club World Cup draw. Similarly, former U.S. President Bill Clinton did the same during the 1994 World Cup draw.
