The football world has received concerning news about former Juventus right-back William Pjanu, who is currently fighting a lymphatic tumor. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the 49-year-old spent 46 days in intensive care, including a period in an induced coma.
“I was in an induced coma, and I don’t remember anything from that time. Fortunately, I’m still alive,” Pjanu shared.
He also revealed the emotional moment before being placed in the coma:
“Before I closed my eyes, I held my wife Veronica’s hand tightly and asked her to take care of our daughter. I thought those might be my last words to her.”
