Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has been arrested on multiple charges. The 41-year-old ex-player, known for his time with the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins, was detained in Tennessee for driving under the influence and possession of a firearm, as reported by TMZ.com. Additional charges include failure to exercise due care, violating the implied consent law, and possessing a handgun while intoxicated.
Cutler was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
Police allege that Cutler was driving his car in reverse while intoxicated. Following a minor accident, he reportedly attempted to pay the other driver $2,000 to avoid police involvement.
Upon the officers’ arrival, Cutler initially denied drinking but later admitted to having “a little to drink.” After refusing to undergo field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody.
During the search of Cutler’s vehicle, police discovered a rifle in the back seat and a loaded Glock handgun in the center console.
A court date has been scheduled for January 2025. Earlier, we reported on a well-known 72-year-old NFL coach who is dating a woman 49 years his junior.
