Coming on after halftime, the 25-year-old forward provided the assist for Lucas Di Yorio’s winning goal and worked tirelessly to hold up the ball in the final moments.
As the only remaining player from U de Chile’s 2018 Libertadores squad, Guerra reflected on his journey. “With time, you gain experience. I’ve always been self-critical and focused on improving through training,” he said after the match.
Although Guerra has never fully secured a starting spot, he has remained a reliable option off the bench. “We all want to play, but I try to contribute whenever I get the chance. I’m really happy we beat the reigning champions and kept the three points at home,” he added before heading to the team bus.
