Sports commentator, Volkan Demirel has tipped Victor Osimhen to have an even greater impact at Galatasaray this season following the Nigerian striker’s permanent move to the Turkish champions.
Victor Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray permanently this summer after an impressive loan spell, has already netted two goals this season. He played a key role in the club’s 3-1 victory over Çaykur Rizespor at the weekend.
Speaking after the match, Demirel praised Osimhen’s resilience and predicted a more influential campaign ahead for the Super Eagles forward.
“I think Osimhen will contribute more this season than last season,” Demirel said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi. “He suffered a blow to his hamstring — anyone else would have gone off, but he kept going.”
Osimhen scored an incredible 37 goals in all competitions for Galatasaray last season, and expectations are even higher as he continues under head coach Okan Buruk in the 2025–26 campaign.
