Despite rumors regarding a possible cancellation of the revamped 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, FIFA is moving forward with official preparations for the tournament, making a small but significant step today.
FIFA revealed a poster for the 2025 Club World Cup on the tournament’s official social media page on X. The poster showcases one player from each of the 30 teams that have already qualified for the competition.
Prominent stars featured include Erling Haaland, Vinícius Júnior, Lautaro Martínez, Antoine Griezmann, Cole Palmer, Dušan Vlahović, Harry Kane, and Marcelo.
The final two spots will be filled by the winner of the 2024 Copa Libertadores and a club from the United States, which will be granted entry as the host nation.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is set to take place from June 15 to July 13 in 12 cities across the United States, with the locations announced by FIFA just yesterday.
For the first time in history, 32 teams from all continents will compete in the tournament, organized into 8 groups of 4 teams each.
