Erling Haaland, the star of the Norwegian national team, expressed his excitement following his team’s victory over Israel in the 2026 World Cup qualifier. The forward shared photos from the match and gave his reaction to the win.
Haaland reposted an image of the match result on his Instagram story with the caption “Yessss” and a bicep emoji. He also posted additional pictures from the game, writing “2/2. See you again in June,” along with a Norwegian flag emoji.
The Norwegian team secured a solid 4-2 victory over Israel away, with Haaland scoring his team’s final goal.
So far, Norway has been impressive in the qualifiers, netting 9 goals in the first two matches. Prior to their win over Israel, they had defeated Moldova 5-0. This strong start to the tournament boosts the Norwegians’ hopes of qualifying for the World Cup for the first time since 1998, when they reached the Round of 16.
Interestingly, the last time Norway made it to the World Cup was so long ago that Haaland wasn’t even born yet.
