Arsenal could be without at least seven key players for their crucial Premier League showdown against Liverpool on Sunday.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed in a pre-match press conference that Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus are all ruled out due to injury, while Leandro Trossard is also a major doubt.
“We haven’t got Gabriel Jesus, we haven’t got Kai Havertz, and we don’t have Bukayo,” Arteta said.
“That is our reality — and Leandro Trossard too, probably.”
Captain Martin Ødegaard is also facing a late fitness test, while Christian Nørgaard and Ben White remain fitness concerns as well.
The mounting injury list could force Arteta to rely on several of the club’s summer signings, with the possibility of a front three featuring Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyökeres, and Noni Madueke.
With top spot in the league potentially on the line, Arsenal’s depth will be put to the test at Anfield.
