In the spring of 2024, Bayern Munich appointed Max Eberl as sporting director, but now another shake-up at the club could be on the horizon.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern is closely monitoring Markus Krösche, the current sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt. Krösche was considered for the position last year, alongside Eberl, but ultimately, Eberl was chosen.
Bayern’s management values Krösche for his strategic approach, negotiation skills, smart transfer decisions, and talent development. If the club decides to part ways with Eberl, Krösche would be a leading candidate to take over. Interestingly, Borussia Dortmund is also keeping an eye on him.
Reminder: This summer, Bayern will say goodbye to Thomas Müller. Despite negotiating a contract extension, the two sides could not reach an agreement, and Müller will depart as a free agent.
In other news, Bayern’s left-back Alphonso Davies reached out to fans following his recent surgery.
